Last week, on January 17th, actress and national icon, Betty White celebrated her 97th birthday. In a 2018 interview with Parade Magazine, White was asked about her bucket list and to share her insights on how to live a long and healthy life.

In her own words;

“I know it sounds corny, but I try to see the funny side and the upside, not the downside…Enjoy life. Accentuate the positive, not the negative. It sounds so trite, but a lot of people will pick out something to complain about rather than say, ‘Hey, that was great!’ It’s not hard to find great stuff if you look.”

Betty’s feelings towards choosing a positive perspective and outlook are what the Boditude Lifestyle is all about. And as she says, it may sound “trite”, “corny”, or too simple – but really it is one of the most powerful changes you can make in your life. Like she explains, it is the way to live a long and happy life.

 

We will all face challenges, tragedy, and hard times. We have the power to choose positivity and use it as a tool to combat the difficulties life throws at us. It allows us to push forward, getting the most out of every day. Positivity is simply a practice, something that takes time and daily effort to master. To implement, you simply practice changing your thoughts and perspective on what is happening in your life.
